The TRD-40 tumbler blaster is designed for automatic cleaning, derusting and roughening of medium to small metal parts. By using a rotating drum with rubber band, the workpieces are constantly moved, so that all sides are evenly exposed to the blasting process. This makes the machine suitable for serial work and parts with complex shapes.
The machine works by means of an endless rubber band that makes the parts tumble into the drum. A turbine hurls abrasive against the workpieces at high speed, effectively cleaning and preparing surfaces. The used abrasive falls back into a funnel through openings in the belt and is transported by an elevator to a cleaner, where dust and fine particles are separated. The cleaned abrasive is then stored in a silo and reused. During this process, an extraction system with filters ensures dust removal and a safe working environment. The machine has a robust steel structure with manganese steel wear plates for durability and can be optionally equipped with frequency converters and sound attenuation.
